Remembering Romero

THE MARCH-APRIL 2000 Sojourners is one of the best issues ever - the articles were wide-ranging, practical, and well written. Particularly I liked the article on Archbishop Romero ("The Reluctant Conversion of Oscar Romero") as there was a local march and worship events to commemorate his death. The article gave a helpful picture of how his faith and work with the poor developed. It was a practical tool for sharing with folks who had no knowledge of him or the complicity of the School of the Americas in the training of those who murdered him. Thanks for continuing to provide a progressive Christian witness for those of us who despair of how mainstream media are manipulated.
