Everyday People

I hope we are vigilant to resist making careers out of the most fashionable terminology at hand. We must keep in mind why we are committed to a new humanity. And as we walk deeper and deeper into the experience of popular culture, I hope we are able to distinguish between culture that has become popularized by the center (in order for the center to remain the center through commodification of culture and scapegoating of culture), on the one hand, and the culture of everyday people, on the other.
