I JUST FINISHED reading "A Community That Endures," by Jim Forest (January-February 1998). This article about Christian Orthodoxy not only gave me some basic information about those who practice this centuries-old faith, but also a strong desire to attend an Orthodox worship service myself! As a 21-year-old Bible college student currently working through the beliefs and adherences of evangelical Christianity, this piece brought great comfort to my soul. It is encouraging to know that there is "more out there" in terms of how I express my devotion to Christ.
I also thoroughly enjoyed Mary Stewart Van Leeuwen's article "The Promise Keepers and Proof-Text Poker." Your magazine is so relevant to today's Christian culture. I am thankful I came across it in my school library!
