My Lord has lifted been in blackest blue
in burdened midnight weighted silent dark
extinguished breathless still and settled true
in death abrupt as in bright life a spark
a sudden flame a glory come and gone
the echoes of a word remembered fail
to fill a hollow heart like mine that on
each thorn of shadow folds collapsed to wail
and whine so he though come and gone does come
again and pulls me full against a throw
of starry sky a call of wind a drum
of rain that every even I can know
he is not hiding he is here this when
this where this me my Lord has lifted been.
