On a cold day this past February, seminary student Sara Wolcott boarded a bus in New York to attend the Moral March in North Carolina with the intention to help someone else’s justice movement—only to discover it was her own.
Wolcott’s essay, “‘Don’t Be Left Behind Now”’ (Sojourners, May 2014), describes her journey of solidarity as she participated in the historic Moral March. View the pictures below of those gathered at the march, a Moral movement that seeks to move “forward together, not one step back.”
