Friedensdorf, the international peace village in Germany, brought 8-year-old Mohammad Rahim and 30 other children from Kabul, Afghanistan, to Dusseldorf, Germany, last December for medical treatment. Rahim and his sister were outside collecting leaves and wood for their stove when three rockets exploded near them. The left side of Rahim's body was filled with metal fragments. Friedensdorf organizer Wolfgang Mertens said, "You just charter some airplanes, get some money, and take stuff over there."
