WELL, I NEVER expected to see one of my favorite "easing-off" mechanisms getting coverage in Sojourners--thanks for the article on female mystery fiction ("The Faith of Mysteries," by Liane Ellison Norman, August 1993). I too read Hillerman and Moseley. Somehow I internalized it as a worldly activity--not quite correct--so it was fun to know there are "fellow travelers" out there. Have you seen Blanche On the Lam--an African-American domestic worker sleuth with lots of social commentary?
