Friends of Sojourners embraced, sang, laughed, and prayed for four days last July in celebration of our first 30 years. Hundreds of participants came from all over the world-Jamaica, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Northern Ireland, and more than 25 states-to be part of worship services, workshops, and Bible studies. Jeanne Walker, of Sherwood, Arizona, echoed the sentiments of many participants: "My life will never be the same. From all the sessions, celebrations, and workshops, I have a new dimension to my thinking. I have never been actively involved in the world at large-only minimally and at arm's length-but I know now that I will never look at the world in the same way. I feel a new hope in our world. Thanks!"
We thank all those who celebrated with us-either at the festival or in spirit-for your love and support. More than one person said "See you next year!" which raises a tough question for us: Should we plan another SojoFest before the next decade goes by? We'll get back to you on that.
