As a committed evangelical Christian and Middle East scholar, I would like to thank you for printing these two fine articles: "Short Fuse to Apocalypse?" by Donald Wagner, and "How Christian is Zionism?" (July-August 2003).
I can personally attest to the continual uphill battle faced by many of us as we do our best to spread the responsible, accurate, and ultimately biblical perspective that has been nicely encapsulated by these three writers and scholars. Sadly, this perspective is so often overlooked, ignored, or simply reviled by the evangelical community. I am thrilled that you've included these articles in this issue of your magazine, and I pray that they will open the minds and soften the hearts of many who read them.
